Read Yellow

Read Yellow is the energy of noise. Within this energy lies truth and question, tales of life and murder, and a perfect congregation of passion and fury. Read Yellow seeks to explore new ground musically by creating the unpredictable, while still holding true to the base elements of underground sounds. The songs of Read Yellow are intertwined with noise, yet capture the listener with melodic hooks.

Read Yellow has showcased their furious live sound with a wide range of acts including ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, The Bronx, Death From Above 1979, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Funeral For a Friend, The Locust, Mission of Burma, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Radio 4, The Rapture, Thursday, and TV on the Radio, as well as performing at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK. Their live show encourages audience participation and attempts to eliminate the division between band and crowd. Sincerity and a strong work ethic have earned them appreciation on both sides of the Atlantic, most notably by the opportunity to record a Peel Session for the late John Peel on BBC Radio 1. Read Yellow is here to express that the passion for making and playing music is still very much alive and very real. In a suffocating time of rehashed acts, Read Yellow is a respirator.
